Klavierkonzert gewidmet dem Papst Benedikt XVI

Auf ein besonderes musikalisches Ereignis im Rahmen Ihres diesjährigen Aufenthaltes in Polen möchte ich Eure Heiligkeit aufmerksam machen – ein Klavierkonzert mit Orchester, welches im Mai stattfinden wird und Ihnen gewidmet ist.

Dabei handelt es sich um eine Uraufführung in der der herausragende, aus Lodz stammende, Komponist und Pianist Slava Kowalinski der in Deutschland schon seit längerer Zeit wohnt, in einer eigenen Komposition die Gedichtesammlung “Das römische Triptik“ von Papst Johannes Paul II musikalisch umsetzt. Von der Idee bis zur Umsetzung sind ein Jahr vergangen. Der Künstler hat sich in seiner Arbeit besonders von denen in der Sammlung festgehaltenen Naturbeobachtungen inspirieren lassen.

In wenigen Tagen beginnen in Polen die Proben mit der 18jährigen deutschen Pianistin Anne-Kathrin Brehl, Studentin der Robert-Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf.

Die Partitur für dieses Werk legen wir Ihnen diesem Schreiben bei und hoffen auf ein hervorragendes Musikerlebnis, welches die Kulturen des Ostens und des Westen miteinander verbindet, getragen von der christlichen Glaubensgemeinschaft und ihrer Vertreter, Johannes Paul II und Benedikt XVI.

Piano Concerto dedicated to Pope Benedikt XVI

Your Holiness, we would like to draw  your attention to a very special event to commemorate your visit to Poland this year – a piano concert with an orchestra, which will take place in May and is dedicated to you.

This concert is the first  performance   by the outstanding Lodz composer and pianist, Slava Kowalinski, who has been living in Germany for many years.  He has composed his own musical arrangement to accompany “The Roman Triptych” poetry collection by Pope John Paul II. From the moment of concept, it has taken a year to complete the  arrangement.  The Artist has been especially inspired by the observations of nature referred to within the collection.
Rehearsals with the 18 year old German pianist Anne-Kathrin Brehl, who is a student at the Robert-Schumann-High-School in Düsseldorf, will commence in Poland within the next few days.
The musical score is enclosed with this letter and we look forward, with great anticipation, to an outstanding, musical experience, which will unite Eastern and Western cultures with o­ne another, based upon the Christian Religious Community and its representatives, John Paul II and Benedikt XVI.

Koncert fortepianowy poświęcony Papieżowi Benedyktowi XVI

          W ramach tegorocznego pobytu Waszej Świątobliwości w Polsce chciałbym zwrócić uwagę Ojca Świętego na szczególne wydarzenie muzyczne – koncert fortepianowy z towarzyszeniem orkiestry, który odbędzie się pod koniec maja b.r. a  poświęcony jest Waszej Świątobliwości.
Mam na myśli prawykonanie kompozycji, w której pochodzący z Łodzi a  zamieszkały na stałe w Niemczech pianista i kompozytor - Slava Kowalinski ujął językiem muzycznym zbiór dzieł Jana Pawła II pt. „Tryptyk Rzymski”.
Od zamysłu powstania utworu do jego urzeczywistnienia minął rok. Artysta inspirowany treścią „Tryptyku Rzymskiego” postanowił przeistoczyć słowo tego wspaniałego dzieła w żywą muzykę.
Wkrótce w Polsce rozpoczną się próby z niemiecką 18 – letnią pianistką Anne – Kathrin Brehl, obecnie studiującą w wyższej szkole muzycznej w Düsseldorfie (Robert Schumann - Hochschule Düsseldorf ).
Do niniejszego listu załączamy partyturę koncertu, pozostając w nadziei, że to wydarzenie, ten koncert swym przesłaniem i intencją zwiąże w sposób szczególny obydwie kultury - wschodnią i zachodnią, opierając się o chrześcijańską więź jej przedstawicieli i naszych opiekunów - Jana Pawła II i Benedykta XVI.
Prosimy Waszą Świątobliwość z całego serca o błogosławieństwo.
